Hanging on the wall,
Like a picture of a new dawn,
Framed in thought and memory,
Reflections in the storm.
As grains of sand trickle,
Through the hour glass he can see,
The world form.
And he thinks to himself,
As the die is cast,
Well, it’s not as though the past won’t last.
It’s more than just a question of design,
To be a product of our time,
Blinded by the worlds’ mysteries,
Into forsaking life for security.
Slipping further into dream a thought remains,
To burn it all away.
Ever fragile and motionless we stay,
Too afraid to face the vast
As we pray our past won’t last.

How can I begin,
To understand this world I’m in,
Full of wonder?
No matter how I try,
I can’t stop the feeling that I might,
Be going under.
And though it seems to me,
The lives we lead,
Are far from what we could achieve.
We’re dealt a hand uneven from the start.
Just like we long for days,
that came before,
To stop ourselves from wanting more,
But the Dragon’s Dream,
Will keep me moving on.
In time we may realise,
There won’t be chances passing by,
For much longer,
We’re forced to walk alone,
Knowing together we will always
Be stronger
You’ll see that trails will come,
But they will go,
And what remains will go to show,
That time well spent gives meaning to us all,
Over the years I’ve watched,
The sun go down,
Every time it comes around,
But the Dragon’s Dream,
Keeps me moving on.
And though it seems to me,
The lives we lead,
Are far from what we could achieve.
